Tai Tzu Ying Enjoys The Victory Of Indonesia Masters 2018
World No. 1 Tai Tzu Ying easily clinched the Indonesia Masters 2018 title. It was a one way show of Taiwanese player who got the gold with her awesome tricks on the court. She managed to clinch the game 21-9, 21-13 and showed why she is World No. 1.
Tai Tzu Ying outplayed India’s badminton star Saina Nehwal in the final of Indonesia Masters 2018. Saina Nehwal though showed up some spectecular performance in tournament. But however in the finals her feets got stuck to the ground as she was not at her best on the court. The other way around Tai Tzu Ying was showing everything of her in the court.
In the first set Tzu Ying straight away got the lead of 10-2 against Saina. It was only Nehwal who was trailing behind at every moment of the first set. World No. 1 took the first set so easily that it looked like she was playing against an amateur player.
While the second set was also the exact copy of the first set. The only difference was that Saina took 4 more points than in the first set. Ying easily clinched second set 21-13 thereby leaving Saina with Silver in Indonesian Masters 2018.
“I am happy that I was able to play well today. This could help me prepare for the Asian Games later this year,” said Tai.
Tai Tzu Ying is also focusing on upcoming World Championships in July, Nanjing, China. Tai was out of the World Championship last year because she wanted to win the gold in front of the home crowd the Universiade that was held in Taipei.
While in Women’s doubles it was No. 2 seeds Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi of Japan who took over No. 8 seeds Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu of Indonesia 21-17, 21-12 in 48 minutes.
The Indonesia Masters 2018 was the third tournament of the 2018 BWF World Tour and offered prize money of US$350,000.
