Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying Clears First Round Of Malaysia Masters 2018

The show must go on and the show of Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying still continues in Malaysia Masters 2018. Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying clears first round of Malaysia Masters 2018. Malaysian mixed doubles pair is surprising everyone since their comeback.

They easily clinched first round by defeating Bastian Kersaudy/Lea Palermo of France 21-11, 21-17. What a perfect performance by Malaysian pair. The first set was easily won by Malaysian pair. However they suffered a challenge in 2nd game. Kersaudy/Palermo somehow came back in the 2nd set as they managed to score 17 points. But still Soon and Ying clinched 2nd set easily 21-17.

Now as they are advanced to 2nd round of Malaysia Masters 2018, now they will face  Christiansen/Christinna Pedersen of Denmark next who outlasted Lu Kai/Zhou Chaomin of China 21-13, 21-18 in 42 minutes.

The pair told reporters, “We just arrived from Thailand on Monday, and we tested the court in the morning before our match in the Tuesday afternoon. Peng Soon and I are getting better and we are looking forward for more improvements in other tournaments.”

Another mixed doubles pair Tan Kian Meng/Lai Pei Jing also took Anders Skaarup Rasmussen/Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt of Denmark 11-21, 21-16, 21-14 in 52 minutes. After loosing first match with a huge point difference the pair made a statement after winning the another two sets.

One more mixed doubles pair of Malaysia (No. 8 seed) also registered their name in 2nd round. They easily outblansted Netherland pair Jacco Arends/Selena Piek 21-17, 21-17. The two sets were almost the mirror images of each other which got easily clinched by Malaysian pair. Now they will face Wang Chi Lin/Lee Chia Hsin of Taiwan.

In men’s singles, Malaysia’s Iskandar Zulkarnain, Soon Joo Ven, Daren Liew also managed to enter the main draws of Malaysia Masters 2018.
