Leong Jun Hao Reaches Top 8 in Thailand Masters 2018

World No. 215 seed is showing his potential up to the mark of expectations of BAM. The rising Malaysian Star Leong Jun Hao clinched out another win in Thailand Masters 2018. He now enters into the top 8 in men’s single category.

He started his tournament by beating Zulfadli Zulkiffli in the first round of Thailand Masters 2018. Now in the second round he defeated Firman Abdul Kholik of Indonesia 25-23, 21-12. The Indonesian seed and World No. 81 is finally out of the tournament.

The first game for Leong Jun Hao was a difficult one to win as it went up to 25-23. Abdul Kholik gave all his best but seemed to be unlucky in the first set. In the battle of nerves Leong Jun Hao had a better control on Thursday.

But when second game started it was all about Leong Jun Hao as he achieved a comfortable win 21-12. Jun Hao started very well in the second set and acquired a lead which was almost impossible to reduce.

In the quarterfinals Leong Jun Hao will face another fourth seed player Hu Yun of Hong Kong. The 36 year old would like to win battle against youngster on the basis of his experience. He entered into final 8 by beating Indonesian player Panji Ahmad Maulana 21-14, 21-8.

Both seeds had a comfortable win in their second round and their scores says how thrilling their encounter will be.

On the other hand in Women’ Singles fourth seed Malaysia’s player Soniia Cheah registered her name in the final eight. She managed to win her second round comfortably against Thailand seed Thamolwan Poopradubsil 21-14, 21-10.

While when it comes to Women’s doublesChow Mei Kuan and Lee Meng Yean proposed comfortable win to enter into final eight. They slashed out Indoneasian pair Yulfira Barkah-Nitya Krishinda in second round of the Thailand Masters 2018.
