 BWF World Tour Finals In Guangzhou

Guangzhou becomes the first country to host BWF World Tour Finals. They will be hosting the event from 2018 to 2021. BWF on Monday gave the list of tournaments which will be going to held in BWF World Tour.

Previously known as BWF Super Series finals has been replaced by BWF World Tour Finals. Last time BWF Super Series finals was hosted in Dubai from 2014-2017. HSBS has been named as premier sponsor and principal global partner in all BWF tournaments and major events like Sudirman Cup, Thomas Cup and Uber Cup.

President of BWF, Poul-Erik Hoyer told,” This is a significant milestone in our history.”

“We are stepping boldly into the future with a partnership that will define badminton for the ages,” he added.

Moreover he added,“It has distinguished itself across the panorama of sport as a brand of excellence – a brand with which BWF is proud to partner. We are partnering with HSBC because we are committed to being the world’s sport.”

There is a very important reason behind the hosting of BWF World Tour Finals in Guangzhou.  The reason is the popularity of badminton in China and interest of HSBC in Pearl River Delta Region. So this is why China is one of the best place to host a mew era of badminton World. BWF president said, “The Pearl River Delta is an important market for HSBC and it’s great to see Guangzhou being celebrated as the new home for the HSBC BWF World Tour Finals.”

The BWF World Tour is divided into two garades.  Grade one consists of Olympics and World Tour Major Events.  Major events includes events like Sudirman Cup,  Thomas Cup,  World Championships, World Junior Championships, World Junior Team, Senior World Championships.

On the other hand Grade two consists of 6 levels in total.

Level 1 : BWF World Tour Finals

Level 2: BWF World Tour-1000

Level 3: BWF World  Tour-750

Level 4: BWF World Tour-500

Level 5: BWF World Tour-300

Level 6: BWF World Tour-150.
