Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying Reunites For 2018
The mixed doubles Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying are again with each other for the upcoming season of 2018. It has been 8 months since they have not accompanied each other. They will look forward to start their journey of 2018 with a bang on performance.
In Rio Olympics Chean Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying came up with silver medal which was one of their greatest achievements. Now they have a strong eye on Thailand Masters which will start from next week. Thailand masters will take place in Thailand. Winning Thailand masters will definitely help in building up their confidence for further challenges.
Words of Chan Peng Soon
Chan Peng Soon said in an interview, “I hope we can win the Thailand Masters, because it would help build our confidence early in the season. I can’t set a goal when I was paired with other players because it takes time to show results, especially partnering with younger shuttlers.”
Accorfing to him playing with Liu Ying is completely a different story. They can set their goals high. Chan has a much more confidence on Liu Ying as she has not recovered from shoulder injury yet but still believes they can hit Thailand Masters.
Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying will have Chang Tak Ching/Ng Wing Yung of Hong Kong as thier first opponent in Thailand masters. He is even expecting full commitment from her partener on the court.
Chan said “I’m no longer a young player as I used to be, in order to go far, it’s important that we both raise our level of play during the tournament.”
Chan also added, “One of our big goals this year is to win the gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast Australia.
Along with gold in Commonwealth games they want themselves to enter into semi finals of Asian Games and World Championships
