India v/s Sri Lanka: Rohit Sharma Ton Helps India To Win T20I

India wins the India v/s Sri Lanka T20I series. Rohit Sharma also known as Ro-hitman Sharma smashes 100 which helped India to win 2nd T20I against Sri Lanka. KL Rahul also scored 89 runs and hence India scored 260-5 in 20 overs game. Others players who contributed for India’s win were the two wrist spinners Kuldeep and Chahal.

Rohit Sharma smashed 118 runs in just 42 balls. He made the fastest 100 in T20I and joined David Miller of South Africa. He made 100 runs in just 35 balls. While another man KL Rahul was also the man to watch out for who scored another half century.

Sri Lanka won the toss and invited India to bat first. This decision turned out to be a bane for them as India made their highest T20I score (260-5).

Rohit and Rahul started slowly and were about at 20 runs in first four overs. But from there on Rohit kept his foot on accelerator and both of them made 82 runs in the next five overs. Middle overs were the key behind the huge total. As no wickets were lost in powerplay therefore India took calculative risks. This helped them to increase the runrate continuously.

After Rohit dismissal Dhoni came at number 3 who also made a descent score of 28 runs. Shreyas Iyer also made crucial runs in the end overs.

When Sri Lanka came out to bat they also started well but at 35 runs Unadkat broke the opening pair. Still the start was really nice as Sri Lankans managed to score 61 runs at the end of powerplay.

Later on the other two hunters hunted in pair. Kuldeep Yadav and Yazuvendra Chahal took 7 wickets in total and helped India to win the India v/s Sri Lanka T20I. Kuldeep took 3 wickets while Chahal  took 4 wickets. This is the third time that Chahal has taken 4 wickets in T20I.

India won the match by 88 runs and Sri Lanka made 172-9 runs. Mathews didnt came out to bat because he acquired an injury during the bowling in his foot.
